Protein Pumpkin French Toast
What is there to say.... A high Protein breakfast AND pumpkin spice!
Ingredients:
sliced bread
2 egg whites
1/3 cup pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon cinnamon
2 teaspoons allspice
¼ cup almond milk
Directions:
separate egg whites and yolks, place whites in a bowl
add pumpkin, spices, and almond milk to the egg whites
mix until well combined
dip slices of bread into pumpkin mixture to coat both sides
place coated bread onto heated and greased pan or skillet
let cook for 1-2 minutes before flipping
cook each side and remove from pan
repeat with the rest of the pumpkin and egg mixtures
Top with maple syrup, fruit, or yogurt (I like Greek yogurt for some added protein)
